LETTER FROM LSPA PRESIDENT,
RHONDA MCMANUS
Dear LSPA Members:
On behalf of our LSPA Officers and Committees, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your families, both near and far, during this time of the Coronavirus outbreak across our United States.
We are among many paralegals across our state who are affected in some way by the COVID-19 issue. Some of you may be designated as “essential” and are continuing to work at the office; some are working from home – some for the first time; some are going to the office to check mail and attend to urgent matters; some are suddenly unemployed; and some are directly affected or infected by this virus outbreak. Again, our thoughts and prayers are with each of you. Please reach out to any board member via email through our website at www.la-paralegals.org if you have any questions or comments, or need any assistance with resources to help you through this period.
PLEASE NOTE: The LSPA April 4, 2020 Membership Meeting concerning proposed By-Law changes was CANCELLED due to the recent mandatory Stay at Home Order issued by Governor Edwards concerning the COVID-19 issue. This meeting, as well as other events that have been, or will be, cancelled, will be rescheduled as soon as we are able to resume normal activities in Louisiana.
In the interim, please let us know if you have questions about state or national paralegal certification, continuing legal education, job bank postings, etc.
We are thankful for you, our LSPA Member, and we look forward to seeing you again later this year.
With love and prayers,
Rhonda McManus
LSPA President
